Wagyu is a type of beef renowned for its exceptional quality and marbling. These cattle are originally from Japan and are known for their genetic predisposition to produce intensely marbled meat due to their unique breeding and feeding methods. The meat is highly prized for its tenderness, rich flavor, and melt-in-your-mouth texture.
Purchasing Wagyu from our farm offers you the flexibility to buy a whole cow, half cow, or quarter cow, with the convenience of receiving your meat portioned, prepackaged, and frozen.
The premium price of Wagyu beef stems from a blend of factors including its scarcity, elevated production expenses, outstanding quality, and robust consumer demand.
When purchasing a cow, regardless of whether it's a full or partial portion, you'll receive a diverse selection of cuts sourced from the entire animal.
Certainly, you have the option to purchase either a half or quarter cow, with the price determined by the animal's weight.
On average, Wagyu cows weigh around 1500 pounds, which reduces to 750 pounds after slaughter and further to 375 pounds after butchering.
For ease of use, the meat is individually packaged, labeled and frozen.
Vacuum-sealed raw meat can typically be stored in the freezer for an extended period, maintaining quality and freshness. It is recommended to consume vacuum-sealed meat within a year for optimal taste and texture. However, if properly stored, it can remain safe to eat for even longer periods.
